Show or hide a column in the foods
or ingredients grid
To show a grid column in the
foods or ingredients grid
on the Foods or Ingredients
tab:
- Point to the
title of any column in the grid.
- Right-click, then select the name of the column
you want to show.
To hide a grid column:
- Point to the title of any column in the grid.
- Right-click, then de-select the name of the column.
Tips
- You can also show and hide columns in this way: point in the grid, right-click, click Columns, then select or de-select the column name.
For diets
Only some columns can be hidden. For diet documents, such
as a food record, in the foods
grid you have the option to show or hide these columns:
- Day column—If the diet spans more than one day,
you need this column.
- Meal column—Can also be used for time or occasion.
- Description
column—Used for entering free-text descriptions of foods, for example,
1 cup of white tea.
- Frequency column—See Enter
food frequencies.
For recipes
Only some columns can be hidden. For recipe documents, in the ingredients grid
you have the option to show or hide these columns:
- Description
column—Used for entering free-text descriptions of ingredients, for
example, 1 cup castor sugar.
Notes
- If you are modifying a document
template, then any changes you make to the grid columns affect all future documents only based on this template. Existing
documents are not changed.
- A grid column might appear to be hidden if you
have resized it to the minimum width. See Resize
a grid column.
